CIRED Liaison Committee of Serbia, as a member of the international CIRED, has gained significant experience in organizing event with 14 conferences held so far, the last seven being of regional character and attended by a large number of participants, as some of the most important events in the field of electricity distribution in the region.
The previous, 14th Conference, was attended by 827 registered participants. The number of commercial participants was 59. A total of 82 papers were accepted and published for the Conference. It is our belief that the 15th Conference will also be an exceptional opportunity for scientists, experts, business people, directors of electricity distribution companies, engineers in the field of distribution, manufacturers, users and servicers of energy and other distribution equipment, professors and researchers, consultants and designers, managers and experts from all fields that have a role in the functioning of distribution systems. The presence of experts from the region at all previous conferences confirms the need to exchange practical experience and scientific research in the field of electricity distribution, to consider the problems that are characteristic of our region as comprehensively as possible. We are connected by numerous similarities in the level of technology development, reorganization and management, both in the exploitation and management of distribution networks, as well as in the processes of restructuring,
deregulation and privatization.
Power Distribution of Serbia invests great efort in the process of improving its own energy eficiency, safety and infrastructure construction, as well as to meet the growing needs for energy, and within this, the connection of renewable sources, the so-called “green” energy. This requires energy improvements through the application of new digital technologies, advanced network technologies, energy storage, load management, microgrids, as well as mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of these goals. Our vision is to encourage more eficient use of existing distribution capacities and greater use of available potential in green energy in this region through conferences, presented concepts, technological solutions and scientific works. This further stimulates cooperation and development of energy in the countries of the region and directs our future towards the high goals of the EU energy map.
